The Saut du Doubs, the streets of Dinan and a scene of harvesters appear among the prints from France Pittoresque ou Description, Abel Hugo's survey of France published by Delloye in 1835. Hugo presented the country through geographical and historical description, illustrated with views and maps. The plates include a waterfall in Côte-d'Or and scenes of Saint-Brieuc, while a map of Cher locates a whole department rather than a single place within it.
