Blackgang Chine, the Needles from Alum Bay and the pier at Ryde are among the Isle of Wight landmarks in the prints issued by Kershaw & Son of London. They also include Freshwater Gate and Madeira Vale at Ventnor on the southern coast, the churches and historic buildings of Arreton, Binstead and Carisbrooke, Osborne and the market town of Newport, with several church and seafront views of Ryde. Most are catalogued around the middle of the nineteenth century, though one Ryde view has a much later date.
