Moore, John Hamilton

John Hamilton Moore (1738-1807) was a London map and chartmaker and seller, navigational instructor & instrument maker, and publisher. He was unsuccessfully sued by Robert Sayer (q.v.) and John Bennett in 1785 for the alleged piracy of their North American charts, leading to an important legal copyright ruling.
