Prints by Ruskin Spear find their subjects in a Hammersmith hotel, a busy London junction and the chapels and mine buildings of Cornwall. Spear (1911–1990) was a British painter, and these prints were published in 1947 and 1949. London supplies the Rutland Hotel in Hammersmith and Ludgate Circus; Cornwall the Bible Christian chapel at Tremodrett, the temperance hall at Roche and Great Wheal Prosper at Tresayes, with some of the material associated with Recording Britain.
