A geological detective story lies behind these maps from The warm springs of Georgia, a study of where the springs' warm water comes from, published by the United States Government Printing Office in 1935. D. F. Hewett and G. W. Crickmay prepared it in cooperation with the Georgia department responsible for forestry and geological development. Regional sheets set out the geology of the Warm Springs area, Pine Mountain, the Manchester district and west-central Georgia and eastern Alabama, while detailed diagrams show the water sources, pools and drains, and drainage and discharge maps record observations made in 1934–1935.
