Their photographs were reproduced in Walter Hutchinson's Customs of the World, introduced by A.C. Haddon. Ceremonial scenes include a procession at Kumbakonam, the temple car at Mylapore, Hindu cremation rites and a Toda funeral, while other plates show Delhi's Jama Masjid, a mother teaching a child to walk, Malabar dress and ritual performers. One plate photographs conventional paintings of Hindu deities.
