Swanston, George Heriot
George Heriot Swanston (Born Edinburgh in 1814, fl. 1841-1860), Scottish map engraver. He is noted for his decorative maps and vignettes for Fullarton's "Royal Illustrated Atlas" (c. 1858), and "The Companion Atlas to the Gazetteer of the World", also published by Fullarton (1860). He often collaborated with John Bartholomew.
