Meymott, William Joseph

William Joseph Meymott (1817-1881) was a solicitor by profession. Born in the Parish of Christ Church, Southwark, he was a local historican and appears to have been a lifelong resident. He was appointed a Commissioner of Oaths in the High Court in 1854, at which time he was recorded as living at 86 Blackfriars Road. He was Steward of the ancient Manor of Paris Garden in 1881, in which year he self-published a history of the Manor, which included two maps
