du Bosc, Claude

Claude du Bosc (born 1682 fl. 1711-1746) was a French engraver who was invited to England by Nicolas Dorigny to assist with the engraving of the Raphael cartoons at Hampton Court. He moved to London in 1712 where he worked for others until he established his own business around 1730. He engraved the maps, plates and battle plans for "The military history of His Serene Highness Prince Eugene of Savoy and also of His Grace John Duke of Marlborough" (1735/1737), which he published.
